Environmental Training for Communities
Flynn Furney Environmental Consultants have been involved in the delivery of training since 2009. We have been commissioned by local authorities, NGOs and community groups to deliver workshops and talks on biodiversity, sustainability and practical conservation. We have run four successful programmes as an introduction to biodiversity for Monaghan LEADER and Tidy Towns training for numerous counties including Waterford, Tipperary and Clare.
Flynn Furney has also delivered training courses for Údarás na Gaeltachta and Waterways Ireland. We have led workshops on hedgerow conservation, as well as invasive species identification and management. In 2023, Flynn Furney held a series of biodiversity workshops and presentations to six Tidy Towns groups across County Leitrim, following the delivery of tailored biodiversity action plans for each. We have led several walks and talks during Heritage Week and Biodiversity Week to date, e.g. for Monaghan, Leitrim and Westmeath County Councils.
