"Listowel Tidy Towns Group have no hesitation in highly recommending Flynn, Furney Environmental Consultants, to anyone who needs such services. Our first encounter with Flynn Furney was in 2011 when they accepted a commission to draw up a Project Plan to enhance the existing Biodiversity value of an area called ‘Gurtinard Wood’ which is part of our award winning Town Park. This venture proved to be both enjoyable & educational for all concerned including the local schools, who got their own Ecology section in the form of age appropriate quizzes which to this day enhances their field trips. Our next encounter was to commission a 3 year Development / Working plan which is a requirement for all groups wishing to enter the National Tidy Towns Competition. Again, we have nothing but praise for the commitment and attention to detail, especially by Billy Flynn, given to the development of this plan, which covered the years 2014 - 2017. Over several visits to Listowel, Billy consulted with Listowel Tidy Towns members and several relevant stakeholders. As a long established Tidy Towns Adjudicator himself, he had a clear vision as to what was needed to progress Listowel in the competition. An easy to follow, workable plan was drawn up and it wasn’t long before Listowel reaped the benefit! Gaining the title of Tidiest Small Town in both 2015 &and 2016, and then going on to become Ireland’s Tidiest Town in 2018, the results of a good plan surely speak for themselves."
