Blackrock Tidy Towns Plan

In 2019, Flynn Furney Environmental Consultants were delighted to complete a Tidy Towns Plan for Blackrock, County Louth. This award-winning town has made really significant progress over the last decade or so and has shown what can be done by a determined and passionate team of volunteers. The Blackrock Tidy Towns Plan 2020-2023 is wide-ranging and ambitious. The plan sets out 6 priority projects which include awareness-raising for residents, promotion of the Tidy Towns group’s work, alternative energy demonstrations and plastic litter control. The plan also looks at carbon-free travel, encourages links with the local Dundalk Institute of Technology and proposes a detailed survey of Blackrock’s trees.
