Jason Nash

(Associate Director), BSc, MIFM


Jason is a Fisheries & Environmental Consultant specialising in overseeing large construction projects to ensure they conform to all fisheries and environmental standards required.

He conducts a broad range of environmental surveys to produce various environmental reports, from pre-construction surveys, to Appropriate Assessments.

Jason performs fish rescue and fish stock surveys using various electro fishing and netting methodologies. He also designs and implements fisheries habitat and ecological rehabilitation plans and devises site specific plans for river bank revetment works using modern, nature based solutions.

Jason holds a Diploma in Fisheries Management and a Certificate in Electric Fishing from the Institute of Fisheries Management (IFM), as well as a BSc in Zoology from UCC.

Jason has extensive experience with invasive plant species and designing programmes for their control and eradication. He assists with acquiring funding for local organisations and liaises with public and private bodies on projects of varying sizes. Clients have included state agencies, construction companies, angling clubs and landowners.

Jason is a full member of the Institute of Fisheries Management and a Committee Member of its Irish Branch. He is also the Director and Secretary for the Bandon Rivers Trust.
