Jennifer Mc Aree

Jennifer has been an Environmental Consultant with Flynn Furney Environmental Consultants since February 2021. She has 10 years’ experience in the environmental field.
Jennifer holds a BSc in Environmental Science from NUI Galway (now University of Galway) and a MSc Degree in Sustainable Development from DIT Bolton Street (now TU Dublin).
At Flynn Furney, she has worked on a range of projects, including developing both small and large scale biodiversity plans, undertaking ecological and water quality assessments and assisting with rewilding surveys. She also regularly leads biodiversity-related talks and delivers presentations to the public.
Previously, Jennifer was an Environment Officer (for Regulated Industry) with the Environment Agency in the UK. Before that, she worked at Dutch engineering firm Witteveen+Bos in the Netherlands, with the Energy and Sustainable Development team.
She has also worked with the Project Communications team at RPS Group, Dublin and acted as the Engagement Officer for DIT Green Campus Committee after graduating with an MSc.
Jennifer is passionate about protecting the environment, especially in terms of biodiversity and wildlife conservation, water quality and waste management.
